The Sixth Form Centre has first class facilities to inspire and support learning. We use professional standard equipment across many courses.
Our facilities are safeguarded by security locks, meaning only sixth form staff and students can access our premises across the campus. Registration is automatic using the same technology allowing student the freedom of scanning in and out for their lessons as appropriate.
Students can access IT resources in three different computer rooms or loan laptops to use across the site as and when they need them. Wi-Fi devices are supported throughout the site, so students can chose to bring their own equipment if they prefer. Photocopying and scanning machines are available throughout the sixth form are and operated using smart card devices. Our lecture theatre comes complete with state of the art audio/visual and video conferencing equipment.
We have an outstanding study area that is the hub of our sixth form and this is staffed throughout the day by our academic support coordinator.
Within the centre we also have a café that is open throughout the day, a large refectory area and outdoor terrace.
Although the sixth form facilities are purely for sixth form students, sixth formers can use and access rooms and resources across the campus. This includes the use of leisure facilities, the library and other resource areas.
All of our facilities are designed with one purpose in mind – to provide you with the opportunity to be an independent and mature learner.

We have a Student Council that actively develop new ideas and support in the whole management and leadership of the sixth form. You too can play an active part in the running of your sixth form by becoming involved.
Our students are the voice of the sixth form and develop comments and suggestions that help make our community a better place. Students can take on roles as student ambassadors supporting subject areas and open evenings or consultation evenings.
Students continue to develop their leadership skills by mentoring younger students across the college or as sport leaders or academic leaders in primary schools.
We work on charity events, social events, student voice and a number of our students even work with school governors and represent the college in meetings. Students also develop their own clubs and organisations with the debating group being one of our newest additions.
As well as having buses available across out catchment area, we also have two buses that run through Hull. We can support students with transport bursaries (terms and conditions apply) which subsidises each single journey bus trip to just 70p.
There is also extensive car parking available across the site. Sixth formers can obtain a parking permit allowing them free parking.
