A Level Results 2018
Sixth Form Press Release
Sixth form students from South Holderness Technology College achieved a superb set of A level and BTEC Level 3 results this year and highlighted a continuing trend of increased average results with students at A level achieving positive added-value. An overall 99% pass rate was achieved with 32 separate subjects achieving a 100% pass rate success. Even more impressive was the fact that 83% of students achieved at least one A*-B grade or equivalent, a 5% increase on the previous year.
Neil Pinder Deputy Head stated that, “It clearly shows just how hard our students and staff work here at our Sixth Form to be able to consistently achieve high levels of performance. Yet again, year after year we see some outstanding individual performances from our students and are proud to see them pursue their ambitions at university or in the workplace. However, just as importantly, the sixth form has a diverse range of students across all abilities and they deserve to be equally pleased that their efforts have brought great rewards.”
Although a large number of students achieved coveted A and A* grades, the stand-out performances came from Rebecca Palmer who achieved two A* grades and two A grades at A level; Hannah Maxey who achieved one A* grade and three A grades at A level; Rory Ramsden who achieved one A* grade and three A grades at A level; Emily Sprangle who achieved an A* and an A grade and two B grades at A level; Bethany Williamson who achieved a Dist * an A grade and a B grade at A level and also Emily Oades who achieved one A* and two A grades at A level.
