Jamie Peacock MBE visits SHTC

In spite of a hugely busy schedule, Jamie Peacock MBE, came into talk to a group of Y11 students about his extremely positive attitude and of his determination to be the best he could be in his chosen field.

He spoke about being self-motivated and how he went the extra mile in everything he was asked to do or that he felt he needed to do in order to prove himself. Indeed, this level of application took him to the amazing feat of captaining his club teams and eventually Great Britain with acclaims as top Rugby forward awards.

His self-pride in his achievements is clear to see and a clear message to the students was to set out goals and to achieve them to the best of your ability and to always aim to be better than the next guy.

Jamie finished his 'White Flag' talk with a poem called 'Don't Quit' which is well worth a read.
