London Art Trip
A group of 22 Art students from years 7 to 13, accompanied by Mr Green, Mrs Abbotts and Mr Pearson ventured to our countries capital for a weekend trip of culture and sightseeing.
The group travelled down from Hull via train on the Friday morning. After a quick bag drop the group made their way into the centre of the capital to start their cultural tours. The agenda for the afternoon included visits to the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Saatchi Gallery and Tate Britain. A refuel at Planet Hollywood was then followed by a visit to the Royal Academy of Art and a call into Hamley’s Toy Store.
After a good night’s rest, the group carried on their adventures with Saturdays agenda including visits to the Serpentine Galleries in the beautiful Hyde Park, the Imperial War Museum, the Barbican Centre and the Museum of London. A quick bite in Pizza Express was then followed by a walk along the Thames River taking in the sights of the Tower of London and finishing the day with a visit to the Tate Modern and another good night’s rest.
The group awoke to a covering of snow on the Sunday morning which made for a very cold and delayed journey home.
Mr Green, Mrs Abbotts and Mr Pearson would like to give thanks to the very well behaved students on the trip.
