Visit to London
A group of sixth formers, accompanied by Miss Clappison and Mr Gill, visited London the first weekend of term. Despite the poor weather on the Saturday, students enjoyed visiting Churchill’s Cabinet War Rooms, and The Houses of Parliament. Students spent time tin Trafalgar Square, and were able to see Downing Street and the Centotaph. After tea, when the rain had fortunately stopped, students experienced an open top coach tour of London by night. On Sunday morning, the party took a canal boat from Little Venice to Camden. Fortunately, the weather was much better ! After shopping in Camden Market, the last visit was to the Museum of London, where there was a special exhibition about the Great Fire of London. At tea time, we took the train back to Hull.
