Humber event inspires next generation of STEM innovators

Year 9 students from schools across Hull and East Yorkshire have been given an opportunity to explore future career opportunities at a business-led event aimed at inspiring the next generation of STEM professionals.
Event organiser Liam Johnson said: “Our Humber STEM event provides an excellent opportunity to highlight the key role that the STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics play in shaping our futures. Events such as these are crucial for inspiring students to become the next generation of inventors, problem-solvers and leaders by engaging them in meaningful, practical activities. I personally find it incredibly energising to see students of this age group deeply engaged in such activities and I love witnessing professionals share their experiences and insights. It is my belief that children should be introduced to STEM at an early age as it prepares them to see education as the crucial stepping-stone toward careers that excite and inspire them".
